Meet Chef Jordan

Chef Jordan is the Executive Chef here at 1911 Restaurant. He’s been with us since the summer of 2020, bringing 15 years of industry experience to our kitchen. His creative cooking style has been refined in many professional kitchens, including resorts on Martha’s Vineyard and in the high-end Italian restaurant, Isabella’s, located in Mt. Pleasant. In every kitchen environment, Chef Jordan’s passion is building complex yet complementary flavor profiles and textures featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients. In addition to treating the taste buds, Chef Jordan also believes in creating a meal for the eyes with stunning plating for every dish.

    Along the shores of Little Traverse Bay, we’re surrounded by farmers, ranchers, and fishermen, which is why we choose to source our ingredients locally whenever we can. One of our standout menu items is our planked whitefish, which is caught fresh daily from Lake Michigan. Our menu also showcases a plethora of farm-fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs that bring vibrant flavors to every dish. We also feature Fustini’s olive oil and vinegars from Traverse City, MI. Chef Jordan and our kitchen staff honor the integrity of every ingredient by preparing everything from scratch, including our pastas, sauces, and dressings. However, we do take a helping hand from Dutch Oven Bakery in Alanson, where we source our pies and breads.

    Each dish on our menu is cooked to order, so you can customize any meal for your dietary needs and preferences. We are happy to accommodate gluten-free and vegetarian diners. 

    If you simply can’t choose from our selection of entrees, treat yourself to our three-course Prix Fixe menu—this elegant yet affordable dining experience will allow you to taste the best of what our kitchen has to offer. Alternatively, join us for a meal on the lighter side with our selection of salads, appetizers, and soups.

Mo and Patty are passionate about wine, and they’ve traveled around the world to curate an extensive wine list. Just ask our staff for a recommendation to find the perfect pairing for your meal!
