Plan Your Perfect Wedding Day with 1911 Restaurant at the Terrace Inn

Breathtaking views of Little Traverse Bay, elegant historical details, and a quiet location tucked away on a bayside bluff create an undeniably romantic atmosphere at the Terrace Inn and 1911 Restaurant. So, it’s no surprise that dozens (if not hundreds) of couples over the past century have chosen this cozy location for their wedding day.

Our wedding venue is available to book year-round, and it can accommodate 75-125 guests for your special day. Depending on the season, your ceremony may take place in our scenic outdoor courtyard or indoors surrounded by the elegance of ornate chandeliers, gleaming maple floors, and original antiques—plus expansive windows with garden and bay views. Receptions are hosted in our beautiful dining room, which showcases distinctive historical charm with all the modern amenities you’ll want for your big day (air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and full electrical setup for live music).

Inclusive Wedding Packages

You have so much to think about on your wedding day, but with 1911 Restaurant you can relax and enjoy your event thanks to our inclusive wedding packages. Our fees include all linens, tables, chairs, plates, glassware, servers, and bartenders. Plus, we’ll take care of all the setup, breakdown, and cleanup. We also have a great list of local florists, photographers, and musicians available to help you plan every detail of your event with ease. We can even help you book an officiant.

Along with our dining room, your booking will include access to our Garden Apartment, which includes an outdoor patio, gathering room, and furnished kitchen. It’s the perfect space to prepare for your big day!
Ceremonies typically begin at 3-4 p.m. with a cocktail hour to follow, so you’ll have plenty of time for photos. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. with the reception winding down by 10:30—local ordinances require quiet hour after 11 p.m., and all guests who are not staying at the hotel must exit the venue by 11.

Delectable Onsite Catering

You and your guests will be wowed by your wedding menu, which you can customize with our Executive Chef, Jordan Glover. You may choose buffet style service for up to 125 guests or plated dinners for up to 75 guests. Planked Whitefish and Chicken Hemingway are popular entrees for wedding menus, but we can also provide delectable vegetarian options, including Risotto with Seasonal Vegetables, Portobello Mushroom with Truffle Oil, or a gluten-free Sweet Potato entrée. You’ll have a choice of salad, such as our Terrace Inn Signature Salad with Dried Cherries and Fresh Pears or our Heirloom Beet Salad. Every item on your menu will be freshly prepared from scratch with fresh herbs, vegetables, and other locally sourced ingredients. A facility fee is added to menu pricing depending on the season and ranges from $500 to $5,000.
You can also choose from several bar packages with a dedicated bartender for your event. Our extensive wine list, full bar, and beer list featuring local microbrews will satisfy any tastes and budget.
